After 4 years [H]house has successfully finalized its research. Innovative building systems for external internal application in residential buildings were developed for new construction as well as refurbishment. [H]house solutions cover aspects of chemical and physical ‘activity’ of the developed building materials, their embodied energy, suitability for different applications and environments, durability, cost-efficiency and long-term improvement of energy efficiency of buildings. Special emphasis was placed on the improvement of the indoor environmental quality of spaces through the use of natural building materials that help to control relative humidity levels but also adsorb airborne pollutants.
